A True Grey™ Blend softens the contrast between your natural white hair and artificial colour, allowing you to go 5–10 times longer between salon appointments than with traditional root coverage.

That means fewer appointments, less time spent maintaining your colour and, over time, significantly less money spent covering your roots.

This is one investment in your complete white hair transformation, shaped entirely around you. Most clients are with me for 9 to 12 months, depending on their colour history, natural white hair pattern and what we’re working towards.

Your journey starts with a consultation, where we’ll understand your hair, your goals and create a plan for your transformation.

The hair you coloured in your twenties has changed, and so have you. Together, we’ll create colour for the woman you are now, working with your natural white rather than continually trying to cover it.

  • A True Grey™ Blend journey is a 9–12 month, all-inclusive service, designed to take you from your current colour through to a softer, lower-maintenance blend with your natural white hair.

  • Not every client needs a full True Grey™ Blend journey.

    You may have already grown out much of your previous colour, have a softer starting point that can be worked with in one appointment, or have completed your True Grey™ Blend and simply want to refresh your colour once or twice a year.

    For these clients, I offer a limited number of single-day appointments.

    Your day is completely bespoke and may include highlighting, lowlighting, colour correction, toning or refining an existing blend, depending on what your hair needs. Your cut and finished blow-dry are also included.

    Single-day appointments are £1,200 and are offered at my discretion following a consultation. Your consultation is £220and allows me to assess your existing colour, natural white hair pattern and goals before deciding which service is right for you.

    If your hair requires more than can realistically be achieved in a single day, I’ll recommend the full True Grey™ Blend journey instead.

    If a single-day appointment is suitable, you’ll then be invited to book your day with me.

  • Spend up to an hour with me, either virtually or in my Hemel Hempstead salon.

    We’ll talk through your hair history, your natural white hair pattern, where you are now and what you’d ultimately like to achieve.

    I’ll explain the options available to you, what I believe is realistically achievable with your hair, and help you make informed choices about how you’d like to move forward.

    Following our consultation, you’ll receive a written summary of my recommendations and suggested next steps.

  • I had been struggling with my hair for around five years before I found Karla after seeing her work on Instagram.

    As a naturally cool-toned brunette, I had always covered my roots with a dark brown permanent tint, but I was finding the regrowth harder and harder to keep on top of. I decided to try going blonde with a full head of bleach highlights. It looked great for about two weeks, but then the salt-and-pepper roots started showing through and the blonde became warmer and brassier. Before long, I was dealing with a mixture of yellow, brown and white hair!

    I eventually decided to go cold turkey and grow out my natural colour, which was really hard because I constantly felt self-conscious, as though I was overdue a trip to the salon.

    By the time I went to see Karla, I had grown out a lot of my natural colour. She looked at my hair and said, “Vanessa, you’ve already done the hard part!” — and that gave me so much confidence.
